Saturday, May 18th, 1:00 - 4:00:  Eco Print a Silk Scarf Make and Take Class

This class is a beginning level introductory class into the world of Eco Printing also called Botanical Printing or contact printing. We will learn some techniques for getting plant material to print onto fiber.  This class is taught by Annie Temple who has been exploring Eco printing techniques along with natural and synthetic dyes .

We will look for plant material in the neighborhood but you can bring plant material as well. Plants that usually print well- Japanese red maple leaves , geranium leaves, oak leaves, peony leaves, eucalyptus leaves (these need to be purchased from a  flower market) smoke bush, rose leaves.  Leaves with high amounts of tannin do well. This is a fun, messy class with sometimes unexpected results , a trade mark of Eco Printing!

Cost is $50 for the class $20 for materials
